The cycle Concerts a la Fresca ends

Yesterday, Wednesday, August 24, the last Concert a la Fresca of this summer took place, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the City Council of La Pobla de Segur in collaboration with the Culture Volunteers. These medium-sized concerts are part of the abundant summer cultural activity in our town: book presentations, astronomical observation workshop, dramatized visits to the Mauri ensemble, small-format concerts every Thursday in different squares, magic sessions, the Origins festival, etc.

These four concerts have been held in the courtyard of the Els Raiers school during each of the first four Wednesdays of August, with a considerable influx of public, both from La Pobla and from towns in the region.

In the first concert we were able to hear the magnificent voices of the female quartet Les Fourchettes performing exclusively a cappella songs. Indie-folk music arrived with the lively second concert of the River Omelet. The third concert we were able to listen to versions of different musical styles and own songs by Petit I Nuna. At yesterday’s concert we applauded the classic and modern versions of the female trio DoneSStrings.

The four concerts have been of great acoustic quality and the public has enthusiastically applauded the performances of all the groups.
