Montsor old path

This route allows as to discover the old path between Pallars Jussà and Pallars Sobirà, a way of going through this two areas that was used until the XVII century, when the Collegats Canyon route was created. From la Pobla we ascend through the Cambra d’Aigües, where we will start climbing a pine tree forest. At the Roca Foradada crossing you can observe the rock shelters that were used as a shelter by people and animals. This is the hardest part of the route, that ends at the easy Llop walkway equipped with steps and a chain. We continue through Cresta del Gelat and the next stop is the abandoned Montsor village, that was a castle on 1309 and had 50 inhabitants at the XIX century. In Montsor you can observe Santa Maria chapel ruins and also magnificent views of the area. Finally, the route goes back to la Pobla de Segur and, at some points of the path, you can observe the original stone pavement.
