Comú de Particulars

Comú de Particulars was born in 1822. In the beginning it was a cooperative athenaeum formed by local folks, to make common concern investments, being the most important one a flour mill, to avoid paying taxes to a nobleman for milling cereals. With the time, the mill became a common space for local folks and the Comú became the core of the social and civile life in the town. Nowadays they work mainly in cultural affairs, they host a library, exhibitions, shows, book presentations… always with a focus on Pallars and the Pyrenees.
